Alcohol Rules
No cash bars allowed (we don't have a license to sell alcohol).
Self-serve open bars are strictly prohibited (no beer canoes, drinking games, or self-serve beer trucks).
Serve alcoholic beverages in clear plastic cups; glass is allowed at tables (e.g., water glasses, champagne toasts) but not on the dance floor.
Serve alcohol with food as a best practice.
Kegs are discouraged due to the mess and waste they create.
Alcohol must be served by an approved bartender.
Bartenders need a TN ABC server permit and liquor liability insurance.
Alcohol service to minors is strictly prohibited.
Alcohol service must end five hours after the bar starts or 30 minutes before the rental ends (when music stops); hard alcohol service stops one hour earlier.
No last call for alcohol; consider posting a sign to inform guests of the bar closing time.
Tims Ford Event Center staff can evict inebriated guests if alcohol consumption is deemed excessive (though this has never been necessary).
If guests or the wedding party serve themselves alcohol, it will be confiscated and a $250 fee per incident will be added.
A security guard is required at events serving alcohol.
